The Secret Side of Love is for readers and viewers interested in thoughtful stories and conversations about relationships, connection, vulnerability, personal growth, and the complexities of love.
Do I need a membership to use the site?
No. Some content is available publicly, and you can also create a Free Member account. Paid Society memberships provide access to additional content and member-only features.
What is the difference between Society Member and Society Reader?
Society Member provides access to paid member features and content, while Society Reader is the higher-access membership tier. Current benefits, pricing, and available plans are shown on the Membership page.
Can I upgrade my membership?
Yes. Eligible upgrades take effect immediately. When you upgrade, you’ll be charged the full price of the new membership and your new membership level begins right away.
Do you prorate membership upgrades?
No. If you upgrade to a higher membership or switch from monthly to annual billing, the change takes effect immediately and you’ll be charged the full price of the new plan. Any unused time on your current membership is not prorated, credited, or refunded.
Can I downgrade my membership or switch from annual to monthly?
Yes, but these changes do not take effect immediately. First cancel renewal on your current membership. You’ll keep the access you already paid for through the end of your current membership period. After it ends, you can select the new membership plan you want.
Can I cancel my paid membership?
Yes. You can cancel renewal from your membership account at any time. Canceling stops future recurring charges but does not immediately remove access you have already paid for.
What happens after I cancel?
Your paid membership remains active through the end of your current paid period. After it expires, your account automatically returns to Free Member status. Canceling does not automatically refund previous payments.
How are membership payments processed?
Paid memberships are processed securely through Stripe. Payment card information is handled through Stripe’s payment system rather than being entered or managed directly by The Secret Side of Love.
Is my membership private?
Discretion and privacy are important to The Secret Side of Love. Account and member features are designed with privacy in mind. For information about how personal information is collected, used, and protected, please review our Privacy Policy.
What kind of content can I expect?
You’ll find original stories, books, videos, and discussions exploring relationships, romance, emotional connection, personal experiences, and personal growth. New content may be added over time.
Can I participate in the community or share my own experiences?
Members can participate in community areas available to their membership level. We encourage thoughtful, respectful conversation and personal expression while following the site’s community rules and moderation standards.
